Your DataFrame should be placed on the right side of your Macintosh. Do not place it on the left side of the Macintosh, as the magnetic field generated by the Macintosh's video circuitry may cause interference with the normal functioning of the drive. If you have a Mac II, be sure that the DataFrame does not block the Mac II's cooling vents.
There are cooling vents on both sides of the DataFrame and on the top. Leave at least half an inch of space on each side of the drive to allow proper air circulation. Do not put books or other items on top of the DataFrame, and do not put the DataFrame on its side or underneath the Macintosh, as this will block the drive's cooling vents and may cause damage from overheating.
During operation, the temperature where you are operating the DataFrame should be between 40┬░ and 90┬░ Fahrenheit.
Make certain the SCSI cable connecting the DataFrame to the Mac is not bent or kinked.
